Account & Data Deletion.

1. Overview

This Account and Data Deletion Policy explains how to request deletion of a Fooda AI account and data associated with it. It forms part of the Fooda AI Privacy Policy.

The responsible Operator is the application provider or seller identified for Fooda AI in the applicable app-store listing. The same process is available to all Fooda AI users, including users of anonymous accounts and users who later linked Apple or Google sign-in.

2. Delete your account in the app

The fastest deletion method is available directly in Fooda AI:

1. Open Fooda AI.
2. Open Settings.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen.
4. Select “Delete account permanently.”
5. Read the warning and complete the confirmation requested by the app.

After the required confirmation, the in-app process immediately deletes your Fooda AI account and associated active account data. You will be signed out and the deleted account cannot be restored. Technical propagation, protected backup expiry and third-party record handling may take additional time as described below.

If you cannot open the app, no longer have the device, or the in-app process fails, use the email method in Section 3.

3. Request deletion by email

Send an email to hello@foodaai.com with the subject “Fooda AI Account Deletion.”

Please include:

• the email address connected to the Fooda AI account, if one is connected;
• the sign-in method you used, such as Apple or Google;
• your Fooda AI account identifier if it is visible to you in Developer Mode or support information; and
• a clear statement that you request permanent deletion of the account and associated data.

Do not include your password, Apple or Google password, complete payment-card number, bank details or government identity document unless we specifically explain that a legally permitted verification step requires additional information. We will complete a verifiable email deletion request within 48 hours after receiving the information reasonably needed to identify and verify the account.

4. Identity and account verification

Deletion is irreversible, so we must take reasonable steps to prevent someone else from deleting your account. The simplest verification is a request sent from the email address linked to the account. We may ask you to confirm limited account or recent activity information. We use verification information only to authenticate and document the request.

An anonymous account may not have an email address. When possible, delete it from the signed-in app, where control of the active authenticated session can be confirmed. If that is impossible, send any Fooda AI account identifier and non-sensitive supporting details available to you. If we cannot reasonably identify or verify the account, we will explain what additional step is needed.

5. Data deleted from Fooda AI

Subject to the exceptions in Section 6, deletion removes or permanently disconnects the active Fooda AI account data under our control, including as applicable:

• the Firebase authentication account and Fooda AI user identifier;
• name, linked profile details and account settings;
• onboarding answers, body profile, height, weight, goals, activity and dietary preferences;
• meal records, ingredients, dates, calorie and nutrient records, water and activity entries;
• meal photos, nutrition-label photos and other user-uploaded files stored for the account;
• nutrition-label analyses, AI analyses, personal plans and generated account content;
• AI-assistant messages, custom assistant settings and stored conversation metadata;
• weight logs, streaks, rewards, app-rating state and synchronised preferences;
• notification settings, assistant-alert data and active push token associated with the account; and
• other active cloud records whose purpose is to provide the deleted account.

Local data may remain on a device if the operating system, an old installation or an offline backup retains application files. Uninstall Fooda AI or clear its local app data after account deletion if you also want to remove local copies.

6. Information that may remain

Limited information may be retained when deletion is not technically immediate or where continued retention is permitted or required. This may include:

• protected backups until the normal backup-overwrite cycle completes;
• security, fraud-prevention and abuse records needed to protect users and the Service;
• records needed to comply with tax, accounting, consumer, legal-process or other obligations;
• records reasonably needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
• a minimal record of the deletion request and completion response;
• store and subscription transaction records controlled by Apple, Google or RevenueCat;
• analytics or attribution information already aggregated, de-identified or retained under provider settings; and
• information that cannot reasonably be linked back to you.

Retained information is restricted from ordinary account use and is deleted or de-identified when the applicable retention reason ends. Deletion does not require us to recreate or alter data that was already irreversibly aggregated or anonymised.

7. Important subscription information

Deleting the app or deleting your Fooda AI account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.

To stop future billing, cancel the subscription in the store account through which you purchased it. Store cancellation, refund and billing records are controlled by the applicable platform. Account deletion may remove Fooda AI’s ability to associate an existing entitlement with the deleted account, but it does not reverse a completed purchase, issue a refund or override the store’s subscription terms.

8. Third-party systems

We send deletion instructions to service providers acting on our behalf where necessary and supported. Some parties process information independently, including app stores and identity providers. Their records and deletion tools are governed by their policies. Relevant provider categories include cloud infrastructure, attribution, subscription management, AI processing, identity and app-store services. Links to publicly identified providers are collected in the Privacy Policy.

You may separately manage Apple or Google account information through the relevant platform. Deleting Fooda AI does not delete your Apple ID, Google Account, store purchase history or data held for unrelated services.

9. Consequences of deletion

• Deletion is permanent and the account, history and AI conversations cannot be restored by Fooda AI.
• Logging in later may create a new Fooda AI account with a new identifier and no previous history.
• Features that depend on prior meals, goals, preferences, plans, subscriptions or chat context may need to be configured again.
• Deleting only the app does not delete the cloud account or its data.
• Deleting an account does not itself cancel recurring store billing.

If you only want to correct a meal, preference or profile value, use the available editing controls or contact us instead of deleting the entire account.
